The stage is set once again for consumers to make their voices heard as BrandXchange, organizers of the prestigious Consumers Value Awards
(CVA), have officially opened the voting portal for the 2025 edition of the award.

Excitedly, the portal — Votes – Consumers Value Awards — is now live, allowing consumers to vote for over 200 brands, including for the first time, several federal government agencies nominated by the public based on service experiences.

Also, now in its fourth consecutive year, the CVA continues to grow in scope and relevance, with this year’s edition themed “Beyond Prices: Consumer Trust, Digital Experience & Brand Accountability.”

Meanwhile, this theme reflects rising consumer expectations, particularly in a fast-evolving digital economy where accountability and trust are critical drivers of brand loyalty.

First-Time Nominees and Broader Categories

This year’s voting list includes a more diverse range of sectors — from everyday consumer goods and fitness brands to public sector agencies —
signifying an increased public interest and participation in the nomination phase.

“This is the first time we are seeing federal agencies making it to the voting stage, a testament to the growing awareness and engagement of consumers,” said Akonte Ekine, Convener of the Consumers Value Awards.

Transparency and Credibility at the Core

To uphold transparency, each voter must validate their email via a one-time password (OTP) system.

The OTP ensures one vote per email address across all categories, reinforcing the credibility and authenticity of the results.

Ekine emphasized, “The CVA is not decided by a panel of experts or jurors, but by the very people who use these services and products daily. Consumers are the ultimate judges — their votes are a form of feedback that can drive change and reward excellence.”

No Political Influence — A Pure Consumer-Focused Initiative

The CVA 2025 maintains its non-partisan stance, choosing not to include state governors in this year’s edition.

“Our focus remains firmly on consumer experience and market service delivery, free from political influences.

We’re here to build consumer knowledge and promote a better marketplace for all,” Ekine added.

60 Days to Make Every Vote Count

The portal will remain open for 60 days, providing ample time for consumers across the country .

This includes those in the diaspora — to evaluate the brands and agencies that serve them and cast their votes accordingly.
