In a decisive move that reaffirms its commitment to rewarding dedication, innovation, and excellence in journalism, Nigeria’s leading marketing and advertising publication, MARKETING EDGE Publications Ltd., has announced the promotion of Felicia Nwosu to the esteemed position of Deputy Editor. The elevation, which took effect in October 2025, marks yet another milestone in the remarkable career of one of Nigeria’s most dynamic and versatile media professionals.
The well-earned elevation, which came with a financial reward, reflects the management’s deep appreciation of her outstanding storytelling skills, professionalism, and consistent contributions to advancing brand journalism in Nigeria. Significantly, this marks the second time the multi-talented journalist has received such recognition and reward from the organisation for her exceptional performance and steadfast commitment to editorial excellence.
Again, this recognises her steady contribution to the publication’s editorial strength, consistent reporting, storytelling, craft and excellence.
Equally important, it underscores the publisher’s confidence in her ability to drive editorial direction and mentor emerging journalists across an increasingly digital newsroom.
A Trusted Voice Across Brand Journalism
For more than a decade, Felicia has reported, produced and presented stories across broadcast, print and digital platforms. Before her promotion, she served as Senior Correspondent and oversees production for MARKETING EDGE ONTV, where she delivered exclusive interviews, features and sector analyses that shaped conversations across the Integrated Marketing Communications sector.
Furthermore, she anchors the red-carpet sessions at the MARKETING EDGE Awards, engaging industry leaders on trends, strategy and the future of marketing in Nigeria.
From Sound Personnel to Production Professional
Felicia began her broadcast journey at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), working under both the Programme and Engineering Departments as Sound Personnel.
She contributed to several high-profile national productions such as Shell Sports Competitions, AFRIMA, Presidential Campaigns, and other live broadcasts that drew nationwide audiences.
At NTA2 Lagos Network Centre (Victoria Island), she played active roles in outside broadcasts and election coverage, helping to ensure seamless and professional sound output during major programmes.
She also supported the production of well-known shows such as Ali Baba Seriously, anchored by ace comedian Ali Baba, and Sports Parliament, hosted by football legend Segun Odegbami. Her dedication, precision, and technical competence made her a dependable hand within the station’s production team.
Production Roles: Assistant Producer and Segment Producer
Felicia advanced to work as Assistant Producer on the business programme Business Matters, where she supported research, coordination, and content flow.
She later transitioned to Segment Producer on NTA’s flagship morning show AM Express, where she produced notable segments like “Rising Stars” and “Unusual.”
“Rising Stars” celebrated new and emerging talents in Nigeria’s creative and entrepreneurial spaces, while “Unusual” profiled individuals defying societal norms, such as women succeeding in male-dominated careers or men excelling in traditionally female-driven roles. Both segments offered a platform for inspiring stories that celebrated human creativity, courage, and purpose.
Transition to News Reporting at NTA Lagos Channel 10
Felicia later joined NTA Lagos Channel 10 (Yaba) as a News Reporter under the News Department, where she covered a wide range of beats including Health, Education, Environment, Technology, Business, and Social Affairs.
Through her field reports and human-interest stories, she captured the challenges and triumphs of everyday Nigerians while highlighting issues that shaped national development. Her versatility and commitment to accurate, people-centered journalism further distinguished her in the newsroom.
Building Momentum and Expanding Horizons
Felicia’s professional growth continued at Betex Communications Ltd, where she worked as a Special Reporter on the acclaimed documentary “Zenith Bank Plc: A Passion for People.” Her work on the project captured the bank’s humanitarian efforts and commitment to social impact, earning her commendation for her sensitivity, research depth, and compelling narrative delivery. This further demonstrated her skill in combining research, narration, and visual storytelling.
Transitioning fully into the brand and marketing communications space, she has continued to merge journalistic precision with creative storytelling, consistently interpreting complex brand narratives for audiences with clarity and purpose.
A Lifelong Learner Committed to Mastery
Driven by an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, Felicia holds a B.Sc. in Mass Communication from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where she made history as part of the pioneering team behind the first live broadcast of ABU BBC Campus Radio, under the leadership of Ladan Salihu, former Director-General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN).
Her quest for growth led her to acquire multiple professional certifications, including:
-

-
National Broadcast Academy, Lagos – Basic Presentation Course
-
National Film Institute, Jos
-
