WOO unveils Mooi as keynote speaker at African Regional Forum 2024

Industry veteran and top Unilever media executive, Lunga Mooi, will be leading the conversation and opening the stage as keynote speaker at the upcoming 2024 edition World Out-of-Home Organization (WOO) Forum.
The two-day interactive forum, which is scheduled to be held in Cape Town, South Africa, from March 11 to 13, 2024, will be offering the participants ample time to reflect on the giant strides recorded so far in outdoor advertising globally, while dishing out exciting presentations from diverse speakers.
According to the organisers, the event will be the gathering of the crème de la crème on the continent’s out-of-home business. They will explore and expand the frontiers of the world of Out-of- Home, media, tech suppliers and several others.
WOO said the special event will redefine the face of Africa’s OOH with new initiatives and that speakers will be taking a dive into the following topics such the important role of National Associations, maintaining OOH’s competitive advantage, driving OOH growth through audience measurement and making OOH easier to buy and several other  trendy and topical issues affecting the landscape.
The Unilever Africa Head of Digital Marketing, Media and D’Commerce hub, is a seasoned professional who has dedicated the greater path of his career building brands. Lunga Mooi’s enduring stewardship and leadership is a testament to his career growth journey, with a robust background spanning over 17 years in in digital, media and marketing.
The digital icon has worked in 24 markets in Africa, including Southern Africa countries as well as Kenya, Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria and Côte d’Ivoire.
He has also been Executive Head: Digital Channels, Ecommerce & Digital Marketing at Telkom and Africa Digital CoE Director of Tiger Brands. He holds a B.Com in Information Systems & Marketing.
Mooi, who brings a wealth of relevant experience to this role, will be looking  at the wider media market in Africa based on his wide experience, with a particular focus on the growth opportunities for Out-of-Home.
