NB commissions N5.1B ultra-modern automated PET line in Ogun State
Nigerian Breweries has commissioned a N5.1 billion Ultra-modern automated PET line at the company’s Ijebu-Ode Brewery in Ogun State.
The formal commissioning was done by the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun alongside other prominent personalities, including the Honourable Minister for Trade and Investment, Otunba Niyi Adebayo, and the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona.
According to the Nigerian Breweries, the PET line has the capacity to produce up to 24,000 bottles of drinks per hour and “It is designed with the latest technology and is fully automated to meet world-class safety and quality requirements.”
“It is also expected to become a central supply and a critical enabler to our plans to export our drinks outside Nigeria to West Africa and beyond, satisfying the refreshment needs of millions of Nigerians and Africans,” the company stated.
This development will promote increase in the company’s output of non-alcoholic drinks of high quality for the local and international market, increase employment opportunities and job creation, and also open the door to investors.
Earlier in November, The Nigerian Breweries celebrated 74 years of brewing excellence; as the largest brewing company in Nigeria with over 19 brands in its portfolio, 10 existing breweries across the nation, and approximately two malting plants in Aba and Kaduna, the Nigerian Breweries engages in the production, marketing, and distribution of world-class alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage brands in Nigeria.
Incorporated in 1946, the company’s brands include Star Lager, Life Lager, Gulder, Schweppes, Legend Extra Stout, Star Radler, Maltina, and many more.
