Sanwo-Olu, others set to chart path for leadership competence at summit

Political icon, His Excellency, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, other African leaders in both the private and public sectors alongside civil society and academia, will be leading conversations at the forthcoming African Leadership Review Summit and Awards. The summit, which has the theme: “Transformational Leadership in a Changing World”, is scheduled for July 7, 2023, at Four Points By Sheraton in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Commenting on the event, one of the organisers, Ifeoma Emeka, disclosed that it will be a gathering of African leaders, adding that the summit is aimed at improving leadership competence, organisational performance and networking opportunities that will chart new path of growth for the continent.
She said the centerpiece bothers on bringing in a paradigm shift that will usher in an informative and inspiring day of new ideals.
Some of the distinguished leaders include, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, president African Development Bank, Tshilidzi Marwala, Arunma Oteh, Hamad Buamim, Mohammed Dewaji, Niyi Adesanya, Prof. Pat Utomi, Fred Swanker, Dr. Peter Chee, Barbara Kellerman, Moussa Faki Mahamot, Kashim Shettima Mustapha Makhtar Diop, Prof. Benedict Oramph and H. E Wankele Nene.
She noted that the Excellence in Corporate Enterprise and Leadership Awards is an initiative to celebrate selected African personalities and organisations, which have made an impact on the development of Africa’s economy through their leadership experience in their different fields of endeavours.
“The summit will be providing delegates with a greater understanding of how operational effectiveness and efficiency are vital to organisational success. It is aimed at anyone looking to improve leadership competence, organisation performance and networking opportunities.
“Based on verifiable criteria gathered through voluntary disclosure and opening available data, we seek to rate leadership/institutions on their performance in various aspects of leadership excellence. The essence of the Excel Africa Award is to encourage excellence in leadership and competitiveness in Africa,” she said.
