Saatchi & Saatchi secures global strategy, creative role for Accor’s ibis brands

Saatchi & Saatchi has been chosen by the esteemed global hospitality group, Accor, to spearhead global strategy and creative campaigns for its renowned Ibis family of economy brands.

The UK branch of Saatchi & Saatchi will lead in devising global strategic initiatives and creative campaigns for ibis, initiating a brand repositioning across pivotal markets. The agency’s inaugural work for Ibis aims to honor the brand’s extensive heritage, recognizing its pioneering status and leadership in the hospitality sector on a global scale.

Secured after a competitive pitching process, Saatchi & Saatchi will helm global campaigns across key markets for the Ibis brand family, encompassing ibis, Ibis budget, and ibis Styles. The selected markets for these campaigns include the UK, France, Germany, Brazil, and India.

James Denton-Clark, CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi, expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with ibis and Accor, highlighting ibis as a household name and an original disruptor that revolutionized mass travel. He noted the transformative impact of the pandemic on travel and hospitality and expressed eagerness to embark on the brand’s new journey in 2024.

Nina Crazover, global SVP of Economy Brands, emphasized ibis’s leading position in the economy segment and conveyed excitement about the aligned strategy and forthcoming work. She expressed anticipation for the upcoming campaigns to be unveiled to the world.

This appointment adds to Saatchi & Saatchi’s roster of significant victories in 2023, including securing partnerships with John Lewis Partnership (comprising John Lewis, Waitrose, and John Lewis Finance), OVO, Mondelez, and Haleon, signifying the agency’s continued momentum and influence in the industry.
