5 COWRIES FERRY TERMINAL – FALOMO

The Five Cowries Terminal is an ultra-modern and multipurpose twenty-first-century terminal located by the Falomo water front, in Ikoyi, Lagos. The facility was built by the largest telecommunications network in Nigeria, MTN Nigeria, and donated to the Lagos State Government. The five Cowries terminal was commissioned on August 30, 2018, in a glamorous ceremony organized by MTN.

The terminal opens through the week and witnesses a considerable footfall from the early hours of the day till late evening between 3,000 – 3,500 passengers per day. The human traffic is significantly increasing on a daily basis as more ferries have been acquired by Lagos State Government together with other private initiatives as seen recently.

Furthermore, the human traffic is boosted by patronage of a key business within the terminal: W BAR LOUNGE, a trendy, chic bar and lounge set right by the Falomo water front and at the heart of Lagos Island, a perfect city getaway, which redefines nightlife and where people unwind every Tuesday to Sunday between 6pm – 2am.

The terminal is spacious and can be converted to use for special events like Seminars (as used by banks, art exhibitions shows, activations etc. and also used by the Ministry of Arts and Culture. Ma-media Ltd is making this opportunity available on a first-come-first-served basis to Lagosians at pocket friendly rates. They are open to direct barter or hybrid (at agreed ratio) and have ensured that their hoardings are strategically positioned to impact prospective clients and businesses, and ask that brands and businesses take advantage of these opportunities to reach their TA.

Lagos – Abeokuta – Ibadan route: Recorded 33,140 passenger-traffic in July, 2022 and still counting and more to come for this route.
