Afreximbank appoints Anne as director of communications, events

Afreximbank, African Export-Import Bank, a financial provider to African governments and private businesses in support of African trade has appointed Anne Ezeh as Director, Communications & Events.

Prior to the current appointment, Anne was the Global Internal Communications Director of GE Gas Power, she was responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive, high-impact global internal communications plan and overall employee engagement strategy in partnership with senior leadership, HR, and business teams responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive, high-impact global internal communications plan and overall employee engagement strategy in partnership with senior leadership, HR and business teams

She was formerly the Head, of Communications & Public Relations who supports a $2bn business with a footprint across 18 countries and 4 industries. Strategic partner to the African region Presidents and business leadership teams across the horizontal portfolio in the Energy – Gas Power, Steam Power, Renewable energy and Grid solutions, Healthcare & Aviation sectors. Oversees the wing-to-wing Communications function (brand marketing, corporate communications, crisis, and issues management, PR/ Media, and culture communications) and the team of regional communication experts to drive targeted business outcomes for both internal and external audiences. Support a ~$2bn business with a footprint across 18 countries and 4 industries. Strategic partner to the African region Presidents and business leadership teams across the horizontal portfolio in the Energy – Gas Power, Steam Power, Renewable energy and Grid solutions, Healthcare & Aviation sectors. Oversees the wing-to-wing Communications function ( brand marketing, corporate communications, crisis, and issues management, PR/ Media, and culture communications) and the team of regional communication experts to drive targeted business outcomes for both internal and external audiences.

She also worked as Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer at GE Gas Power (Europe, Middle East & Africa) to lead the Inclusion & Diversity Council, to develop and implement a comprehensive, integrated diversity & Inclusion strategy for the EMEA region. Keen focus on institutionalizing a culture of inclusion and belonging, as well as advancing and tracking representation, promotion, and talent development initiatives for underrepresented populations. ERG (Employee resource group) partnerships and external advocacy focused on diversity in STEM and Energy sector in particular.
