TVC Communications full-fledged live entertainment breakfast show, Wake Up Nigeria on Tuesday, July 24th, 2018 celebrates its one-year anniversary on air.

Being the country’s first all-entertainment breakfast show, Wake Up Nigeria over the last one year has engaged its viewers with top-notch entertainment content (from the worlds of fashion, food, music, lifestyle, entertainment, health, tech and travel) that is both captivating and cerebral.

Hosted by lead celebrity anchors, Abayomi Fowope and Titilayo Onyisan, the two hour strictly non-political show features exciting segments comprising of Culinary art sessions with celebrity chefs, fitness routines, interviews with celebrities, live performances, entertainment gist, fashion talk and social media engagements with fans.

Speaking on the journey so far, Deputy Director Programmes, TVC, Morayo Afolabi-Brown, said It has been great and exciting to create and pioneer a fairly unknown concept of a live breakfast show in Nigeria. “As an alternative to the regular political breakfast shows, Wake Up Nigeria in the last one year has been able to match the taste of the Nigerian viewers yearning for premium entertainment content.”

“One of our objectives for creating Wake Up Nigeria was to attract a new set of audience at themorning belt who were interested in pure and premium entertainment and I am happy that we have been able to achieve that to a large extent.” She said.

Speaking about the highpoints and the most fascinating segment on the show, Morayo said personally she feels the kitchen segment on the show is very interesting to watch because of the new recipes introduced everyday by different chefs.

“The kitchen segment for me is the highpoint on the show because I get to learn different recipes and benefits of certain foods every time. I also learn new ways and methods of cooking.However, recently, our garden performances have started competing with the kitchen segments.”
