AAAN concludes 2021 business outlook webinar, inducts new members

The Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) on Thursday, 25th February 2021 inducted four new members. The newly inducted member agencies are Imaginarium Marketing Communications, Poke Limited, The Hook, and Brand Mark.

In an exclusive interview with MARKETING EDGE, AAAN President, Steve Babaeko who headed the induction and welcoming of the new member agencies said: “Inducting new members into the AAAN is part of the decision of EXCOS to try new membership. I am really glad to see all the young members become part of us. The dream is bigger than what we alone can handle; in some years when our tenure is over, the legacy has to go on, and we also have to keep the vibrancy going within the industry. We are working with APCON to push that as well.”

Adebayo Owosina, Founding Creative Director, The Hook, expressing his gratitude via an Instagram post said: “Thank you AAAN, we at The Hook are honored to be part of the association. Big ups to the president, Steve Babaeko and every member of the leadership.”

Imaginarium Marketing Communications, a Lagos based advertising agency announced: “Six years going, with focused leadership, a dedicated team and perseverance, we are excited to be inducted to the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria.”

The AAAN also recently conducted its 2021 business outlook webinar tagged “The future of advertising”. The webinar featured two key discussants including MTN Nigeria’s, Chief transformation officer, Bayo Adekanmbi who spoke on the Big data and the effect on the future of advertising; and CRO Media and Advertising Africa, TVC Communications Limited, Ronan Redmond led the discussion on The new media consumption habit and its effect on the future of advertising.

The four panelists were MIPAN President—Femi Adelusi; Managing Directior TBWA—Kelechi Nwosu; Director of Strategy Yellow Brick Road—Onyewuchi Nnenna; and Founder Digital Masterclass—Eyitayo Olayemi.

Following the conclusion of the webinar and the prepared launch of the AAAN’s Ad Academy, in his statement, AAAN President, Steve Babaeko also disclosed that there is a lot to look forward to under his leadership as the year 2021 unfolds.
