Tolulope Adedeji admitted into Forbes Communications Council

In appreciation and recognition of her immense role as a renowned Senior-level executive in the Integrated Marketing Communications landscape, Tolulope Tomori Adedeji, Marketing and Executive Director for AB InBev, has been admitted into the Forbes Communications Council, a prestigious invitation-only community for senior level executives in communications, marketing, and public relations.

Tolulope’s acceptance into the Council came after a thorough vetting and reviewing of her various roles and contributions,  poised with a senior-level global business experience, primarily in the Alcoholic Beverage, Home & Personal Care industries. Criteria for acceptance includes a track record of successfully impacting business growth metrics, tenure and experience in the marketing and communications field, as well as personal and professional achievements and honours.

As an accepted member of the Council, the Marketing Director expressed her acceptance with joy saying, “Truly honoured to be welcomed and admitted into the FORBES COMMUNICATIONS COUNCIL, an invite based globally respected community of leading Marketing, Strategy, Business leaders across the world. Surely, you’ll be reading my articles on Forbes occasionally.”

Tolulope Adedeji has extensive experience in building brands and businesses. She has built brands from scratch to market leadership and has transformed brands from challengers to established brands. Over the course of her 16 years career, she has built over 15 brands across Africa.

She is currently the Marketing Director of AB Inbev where she leads the marketing teams in Nigeria and Ghana. Some of the iconic brands she leads are Budweiser, Trophy, Hero, Club beer and Beta Malt. She was appointed in November 2018. She is also an Executive Director on the Board of International Breweries Plc.

Before her current appointment as Marketing Director for AB Inbev West Africa, Tolu served in various capacities. She was Brand /Commercial Associate Director of Procter & Gamble Nigeria. Preceding this, she was the Brand and Commercial Leader of the P&G business in Ethiopia. Before these, she held various Brand Manager roles. Tolu’s career started in Finance for 4 years before joining Marketing. In her days at P&G, she worked on various brands such as Always, Pampers, Ariel, Gillette and Oral B in Nigeria. She also navigated these brands through a challenging macro economic recession in 2016.

Her work extends beyond borders; she qualified Head & Shoulder launch for South Africa, Kenya and Uganda and led the start up of P&G brands into Ethiopia.

Tolu holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Babcock University, a Masters of Business Administration from Obafemi Awolowo University and a Master’s of Science in International Management from the University of Liverpool, UK. She is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (MCIM).
