Noah’s Ark, Insight Publicis make Epica shortlist for 2018 award

Two Nigerian agencies, Noah’s Ark Communications and Insight Publicis have made the final shortlist of entries for the 2018 Epica Award which is scheduled for November 15, 2018 in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Noah’s Ark Communications, which won gold last year for its Airtel’s “Lost” campaign, is in contention for another Epica recognition in the Food Category, courtesy of its “Peak Children’s Day” campaign for FrieslandCampina WAMCO.

Insight Publicis on the other hand got a nomination in the Public Interest-Social category for a campaign titled “Don’t rob them of the gift you can’t give them” which was done on behalf of Art Box.

The two Nigerian agencies alongside many others from around the world will now go through to the grand jury which meets in Amsterdam from 12-14 November. Gold and Grand Prix winners will be awarded during a ceremony at the KIT Royal Tropical Institute on the evening of November 15.

Silver and Bronze winners will be published on the Epica Awards website the next day, November 16. The Epica jury is composed of editors and senior reporters from the world’s leading magazines covering creativity and communications. They are supported by an online jury of 300 journalists from specialist titles in fields such as post-production, VR, design, luxury and fashion. See

This year, Epica received 4020 entries from 69 countries, a 20% increase on the previous year despite difficult market conditions. This was driven by the return of the Publicis Groupe networks, plus an enthusiastic response from Germany and Latin America.

The highest number of entries came from Germany, followed by the United States and France. New countries this year included Iran and Morocco. In terms of networks, BBDO and McCann Worldgroup were particularly well represented. for a full list of jury members.
