Nimbus Media kicks off Aid Project, calls for entry
By Oghale Mafuru
Nimbus Media, a leading digital Out-Of-Home (OOH) advertising company has flagged off its aid project with calls for entry from start-ups particularly women-owned businesses in order to enjoy free advertising on its LED screens across the country.
The project called the “Nimbus Aid Project” is designed to support organisations contributing to the growth of the economy with free advertising in order to cushion the impact of the economic challenges on their businesses.
Commenting on the project, Olawale Adegoke, Nimbus’ Chief Executive Officer stated that the project which aims to support winners with N2 million worth of advertising on its screens will enable startups that have no resources to carry out promotional campaigns that will immensely impact their brand positioning and marketing efforts to do so.
He said: “We are going to be doing a specific focus on women-led small businesses and pre-seed tech companies. We are working with partners who are well versed in this field to choose 20 finalists but will reward only 10 finalists. So those finalists will be showcased on our site and there will be opportunities for people to vote. The public will vote for the ten organisations and each will receive N2million in airtime on the Nimbus network to promote their product and business.
The value is considerably more than N2million because of the exposure and impact on their business” he added.
According to him, the Nimbus Aid Project is being executed in collaboration with the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF), TechCabal, and MARKETING EDGE magazine which will join a group of judges to select deserving beneficiaries who will receive advertising support.
Entries for the 2022 Nimbus Aid Project which was known as “Nominate a Charity” started on September 21, 2022, and will close on October 5, 2022. 20 finalists will be selected from the first phase, and the eventual 10 winners will be chosen through a public vote that will be announced later.
