The Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN) has announced that Nigerian cinemas will offer reduced-price tickets on Saturday, September 2, in celebration of International Cinema Day.
These discounted tickets will be available for ₦1,000 each and can be purchased at more than 50 locations throughout Nigeria. The event is scheduled for a single day and will showcase over 100 screens.

Opeyemi Ajayi, the Chairman of CEAN, stated that the purpose of the discount is to reward cinema enthusiasts, re-engage former customers, and encourage Nigerians to develop a habit of enjoying movies in theaters.

“We believe this will bring together audiences of all ages to enjoy a day at the movies and see any movie of their choice at a discounted ticket price,” Ajayi said.

The CEAN chairman also expressed that the event serves as a gesture of gratitude to movie-goers and aims to foster the culture of cinema in Nigeria.
