Speaking at the media briefing, which was held at the Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, Anthony Agenmonmen, the Convener of the awards, said the theme for this year’s event encapsulates its mission to elevate the standards of marketing practices, to encourage continuous innovation in a rapidly changing landscape, and to inspire professionals and organizations to push the boundaries of what is possible.

“In a world that thrives on creativity and ingenuity, the Nigerian Marketing Awards aims to be a guiding light, illuminating the path toward success. This year’s edition of the Awards will hold on 10 November 2023 at the prestigious Eko Convention Centre, Victoria Island Lagos, from 6.00 pm.

“As usual, it will be a constellation of the finest marketing professionals, celebrating the way the know best – plenty of fun and excitement. As we gear up for this spectacular event, we are pleased to announce that entries for the various award categories are now open and will close on 30 September 2023,” he said.

Announcing the Awards Decision Council, Mr. Agenmonmen listed them as follows: Chairman Mrs. Iquo Ukoh; Prof. Ogechi Adeola; Mrs. Bunmi Oke; Mr. Feyi Olubodun Mrs. Joan Ihekwaba; Mrs. Nkechi Ali-Balogun; Mr. Tomiwa Aladekomo; Mrs. Nsima Ogedi-Alakwe; Mr. Obinna Justin Aniche, – NIMN; Mr. Yomi Benson – AAAN; Mrs. Angela Ukara-Makinwa, – EXMAN; Mr. Babajide Fagade – OAAN and Mrs. Ijedi Iyoha – ARCON, among others.

Whilst the core of the team last year remains, we have infused in three new members. We have implicit confidence in the distinguished members of the Awards Decision Council to deliver the quality expectations of this awards,” he said.

On why the Council is not working with any known Market Research organisation to substantiate the avowed objectivity of its judgement, Mr. Agenmonmen said the Nigerian Marketing Awards practices a different model that doesn’t necessarily require such partnership.

Noting the success of the maiden edition, the award Convener also mentioned that they have taken the learnings from last year in planning and making this year’s edition better. He expressed gratitude to the event sponsors, including the Nigerian Breweries Plc, 7 Up Bottling Company, Stanbic IBTC, New Crystal Communication, Ekaterra, Mouka, Event Media, CMC Connect LLP, NAS, Kourosity, and McVities.
