New leadership unveiled at AAAN as Ufot takes helm of board of trustees

In a significant development, the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) bids farewell to the successful tenure of advertising icon Sir Steve Omojafor, as Mr. Udeme Ufot (MFR) assumes the role of the new Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT).
The announcement, made by AAAN President Mr. Steve Babaeko, marks a transition towards a new era under Mr. Ufot’s leadership. Recognizing his notable experience, having previously served as AAAN President and APCON Chairman, the association expresses confidence in Mr. Ufot’s ability to steer the organization towards progress and development.
In the statement, Mr. Babaeko noted, “Join me in extending heartfelt congratulations to him,” highlighting Mr. Ufot’s unwavering support for the association.
The incoming Chairman brings over 30 years of experience, promising invaluable perspectives that will guide AAAN into a new phase of growth and advancement.
The association also welcomed back Mr. Lolu Akinwunmi to the Board of Trustees, emphasizing the historic moment of having two former Presidents and APCON Chairmen concurrently serving on the board. Three new members, Mrs. Omowunmi Owodunni, Mr. Kelechi Nwosu, and Mr. Funmi Onabolu, join the revamped Board of Trustees.
As AAAN expressed gratitude to Sir Omojafor for his outstanding contributions, the focus now shifts to an exciting new chapter under the guidance of Mr. Ufot and the revitalized Board of Trustees. The association looks forward to continued progress and success in this new leadership era.
