Marketing Edge 2021 Summit and Awards restate commitment to unmatched excellence

As the MARKETING EDGE Stakeholders Summit, Brands & Advertising Awards of Excellence continue to gain traction for yet another ground-breaking edition, the organisers have restated their commitment to maintaining unmatched excellence which the brand is known.

In a statement, John Ajayi, Publisher/ CEO of MARKETING EDGE magazine, reaffirmed this year’s event value proposition, while reminiscing on the publication’s almost two decades of unbroken and unrelenting success despite challenges.

“There have been challenges, but then, we always overcome. One of the greatest challenges was how to penetrate the market in the early days, increase brand visibility and get to the heart of the target audience. We wanted industry players to appreciate the brand MARKETING EDGE as a thought leader in brand journalism in Nigeria.

“But then, as a pacesetter and pioneer in this genre of journalism, we had no doubt that we were going to win the heart of the market by providing insightful, authoritative news reports, serving them in journalistic elegance and panache,” he said.

Explaining further, Ajayi said: “When we set out to do MARKETING EDGE Summit & Awards, we were looking to create a platform that will bring all industry practitioners together for networking, knowledge sharing and enhancing further growth and development of the brand marketing ecosystem in Nigeria, and this we have achieved. The award has become a brand on its own, and thanks to God, it has become a huge success.

“Through our awards, some professionals have benefitted from the networking opportunities, some have secured top-class jobs, while others have become top CEOs or CMOs in various organisations, and this is because of the networking ambience that we create. We have also used the awards to celebrate outstanding brands and products in the Nigerian market and of course some leading lights in the brand management business and the business of brand management in the country. MARKETING Awards is an initiative to celebrate brand advertising excellence, and that’s exactly what we have been doing.”

In its 8th edition, the 2021 edition is already stirring the interest and excitement of top practitioners in the marketing communications industry. The event is slated to hold on the 26th and 27th of August 2021.

The Summit theme is, “Rethinking the Blue Ocean Strategy in Uncertain Times”. The 2021 edition of the 2-day event is set to address pressing issues affecting the industry with the stakeholders’ summit which will hold virtually on the 26th of August and the Awards ceremony following closely on 27th at the D’Podium Events Centre, Ikeja, Lagos State.
