Lagos NIPR congratulates Adeniyi on appointment as Acting CG of customs

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Lagos Chapter, has congratulated Adewale Adeniyi on his recent appointment as the Acting Comptroller-General of Customs in Nigeria.

It would be recalled that President Bola Tinubu made the appointment alongside other new service chiefs.

In a congratulatory statement by the chapter, Mrs. Comfort Nwankwo, the Chairman of the Lagos NIPR, expressed her admiration for Mr. Adeniyi’s accomplishments and the impact he is expected to make in his new role.

Mrs. Nwankwo, while highlighting Mr. Adeniyi’s outstanding contributions to the institute and his vision for the customs sector, said: “Your appointment not only reflects your personal accomplishments but also serves as an inspiration to countless professionals in the field of public relations and beyond. Your outstanding contributions to the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, both as the Vice President and as an esteemed member, have been invaluable in shaping the future of our industry. We are confident that your vision and expertise will bring about positive transformations within the customs sector, enhancing its efficiency, transparency, and public trust.”

Also in the statement, the Institute pledged to stand united in support of Mr. Adeniyi and committed to assisting him in his new role. The institute believes that Mr. Adeniyi’s appointment will positively impact the customs sector and contribute to the growth and development of Nigeria as a whole.

“Mr. Adeniyi’s appointment as the Acting Comptroller-General of Customs showcases the endless possibilities for growth and success within the field of public relations,” the statement added.

Adeniyi vowed, during his inaugural briefing after taking over office from his predecessor Col. Hameed Ali in Abuja, to shatter all trade facilitation obstacles and put in place a new culture of consultation and compliance.
