Insight Publicis clinches Amazon Prime Video account
To facilitate its entry into Nigeria, Amazon Prime Video, international on-demand subscription video and over-the-top streaming platform, has appointed West Africa’s leading creative agency, Insight Publicis. This comes amidst Amazon Prime Video’s effort to spread its global presence and reach more African audiences.
Speaking on the choice of Amazon Prime Video to work with the creative agency, Elizabeth Oputa, Senior Brand Manager, Prime Video Africa & Middle East, stated that appointing a top creative and highly skilled agency like Insight Publicis will ease the brand’s understanding of the Nigerian consumer, local nuances and people interests.
Group Creative Director and advertising expert, Sinmisola Hughes-Obisesan, who led the pitch with her team, shared her excitement and enthusiasm about leading the creative execution for the brand’s entry into Nigeria.
“At Insight Publicis, storytelling is at the heart of what we do, so we are thrilled with our new partnership with Amazon Prime Video to bring premium entertainment to Nigerians nationwide with their expansion into Africa. We look forward to bringing on board blockbuster creative ideas that will also drive meaningfulness to all Nigerians as we collaborate and succeed together,” she said.
Nigeria’s film industry, which has long been one of the world’s biggest producers of film and video, has also become a key area of interest for subscription-based video-on-demand streaming platforms. International streamers have recognized the versatility required to seize the opportunities in-market. Amplifying Nigeria’s voice on a global stage and increasing subscriber growth for global streamers no doubt requires creative agencies that bring to bear deep insights and a broad range of skill sets for the country’s dynamic audience, a trait that Insight Publicis possesses.
Reiterating the group’s commitment to providing solutions that captivate the hearts of the people, Group CEO of Redefini Group which houses Insight Publicis, Dr. Tayo Oyedeji, stated that Nigeria presents a world of unique and enthralling possibilities for the streaming giant and the group is very happy to support the entry of the brand in every creative way possible.
“At Redefini, our operating companies provide holistic solutions that shape culture and influence perceptions. I have no doubt that our creative agency, Insight Publicis will take Prime Video on a journey that everyone will want to be part of.
