Ify Kagho named APCON Fellow

Ify Kagho has been named as an APCON Fellow by the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON). She was bestowed with the industry honour during a well-attended event in Lagos, recently.

Mrs. Kagho is the Manager, Loyalty Management for MTN Nigeria, and now a Fellow of APCON. She is a team player with an eye for details, value ethics, honesty and loyalty as my principal principles in any endeavour undertaken. Her ability to be strategic, apply innovation, work under pressure, meet deadlines and deliver results makes me a valuable asset in any organization.

Mrs. Kagho’s work experience, spanning over 25 years in Marketing has seen her make remarkable achievements in building and sustaining market leadership positions for brands across various sectors of the economy including Banking, Pharmaceuticals, Food & Beverages etc.

Leveraging business intelligence, consumer insights, new technologies and strategic partnerships and collaborations, the marketing Amazon has led functional teams across Marketing Communications, Field Marketing and Customer Loyalty management in Unilever Nigeria Plc, Insight Communications, All Seasons Mediacom and MTN Nigeria. She currently manages the Customer Loyalty Programme for MTN Nigeria.

Beyond the workplace environment, she has been an advocate of scientific media planning, with instruments such as the AMPS, TAMS & RAMS in Nigeria’s Advertising Media landscape. She is a renowned Advertising Media Strategist. Consequently, she was at some point in her career on the Board of the Media Planning Services, Nigeria (non-executive).

Mrs. Kagho was a two-term Executive Council member of the Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) where her landmarks include the setting up a structured ADVAN Secretariat that has achieved remarkable goals since then. She was in the forefront of mitigating the rapidly growing media industry debt profile. She also played an active role in recording successes in media industry negotiations with BON, OAAN and NPAN, to the advantage of Advertisers in Nigeria.

She is a Fellow of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN), a member of the Advertising Practitioner Council of Nigeria (APCON), and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), respectively.

Ify has been exposed to several local and international courses in Marketing and Leadership. She is in the frontline of supporting human capital development with the requisite promotion of young marketing professionals to intellectual discourse and exposure. She is a member of the Education Committee of the ADVAN. She was recently honoured with the “Industry Builder Award’ by ADVAN, the foremost professional Association of Corporate Advertisers in Nigeria.

She cuts across as a thoroughbred Advertising Practice Professional with passionate and result-oriented qualities. With a meritorious career, she’s carved a niche for herself in Marketing.

Mrs. Kagho holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Benin, Nigeria.
