FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria appoints Adou as new MD

FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria Plc has appointed Roger Adou, as its new Managing Director. This was disclosed by Ore Famurewa, The Executive Director, Corporate Communications, in Lagos.

The corporate communications professional stated that Adou will report to Ali Khan, President, Middle East, Pakistan and Africa Business Group (MEPA), and will be based in Lagos, Nigeria.

Adou’s appointment, which became effective  from this month, will script a new chapter in the annals of the company’s historic journey as this will usher him into a new role. His  responsibilities will include developing and implementing strategic plans on the company’s policies through research and  as well as developing and implementing budget plans.

The new MD previously served as the Regional Director for FrieslandCampina West Africa, spearheading and overseeing a region comprising 18 countries in West and Central Africa before his present role.

Roger Adou’s vast industry experience will be significant in strengthening FrieslandCampina West Africa’s positioning as a seasoned business executive with General Management experience in the FMCG industry.

The ace marketer is renowned for his strategic leadership and strong analytical skills coupled with results-oriented execution capabilities, which speak volumes about his drive for impressive performance, expertise and rewarding leadership.

Adou’s successful career journey is a testament to the power of his visionary leadership in transforming the company as one of the most dynamic FMCG companies.  The former regional director is known for his commitment to developing strategic vision that transcend boundaries, sparks  collaborations that ignite progress, while  introducing innovative approaches that light the path to a brighter  future for the FMCG sector.

Mr Adou joined FrieslandCampina in 2019 and succeeds Ben Langat who, after an impactful tenure of almost seven years in FrieslandCampina, has decided to continue his career outside the company.
