FCB Inferno elevates Katy Wright to CEO

FCB Global has elevated Katy Wright to the Chief Executive Officer position of FCB Inferno, the network’s London agency, effective immediately. Wright will continue to report to FCB Global CEO Tyler Turnbull and work alongside CCO Owen Lee and CSO Ben Jaffé to grow the agency’s creative offering in London and beyond.

Prior to her current position, Wright was the managing director of FCB London. She has been instrumental in winning key leading accounts, including Zurich, Unite Students, BMW, Valspar, and Kimberly-Clark brands Andrex and Kleenex.

Wright has consistently been described as compassionate and competitive; two words that are difficult to hold at the same time.

Susan Credle, FCB Global chair and global CCO said: “These qualities make her a champion and a leader of world-class creativity. She shares the FCB belief that creativity is a beautiful economic multiplier. As someone who defines our ‘Never Finished’ spirit, I cannot wait to watch her continue to positively contribute to our industry as CEO of FCB Inferno.”

After joining FCB’s London office, Wright rose through the ranks, becoming head of account management in 2018, before being promoted to managing director in 2021 to lead and transform its offering for new and existing clients. In 2022, FCB Inferno announced the integration of creative performance practice FCB/SIX to bolster the agency’s data-driven brand experiences.

“For over 15 years, Katy’s infectious energy, deep commitment to her clients and incredible sense of humour have helped shape FCB Inferno into the agency it is today,” said FCB Global CEO Tyler Turnbull.

Wright’s elevation is the latest in the FCB network, joining FCB Chicago CEO Kelly Graves, FCB New York CEO Emma Armstrong, and FCB Canada CEO Bryan Kane, who were all promoted to the role in 2022. The 150-year-old network was named the second-best Global Network at Cannes Lions 2022, with ‘Dyslexic Thinking’ winning FCB’s fourth Titanium Lion in three years.
