Asake tops Google list as most searched musician in 2023

Ahmed Ololade, a Nigerian Afrobeat sensation has topped the list of most searched musicians in year 2023.
This is according to the list released by Google recently, which compiled the names of artists and songs that are most searched on the fully automated search engine in the outgoing year.
Apart from toping the list, Asake’s song, “Lonely At The Top” also emerged as the most searched song among the top ten released.
Other musicians who made the top ten are Khalid, Shallipopi, Seyi Vibez, Kiss Daniel, Portable, Spyro, Boy Spice, Odumodublvck and Ayra Starr.
Although, the table leader, Asake started releasing his music in 2017 but had consistently operated at the bottom of the Industry until he was signed to YBNL Nation and Empire Distribution in 2022 by Olamide.
After debuting his album titled, ‘Mr. Money With The Vibe’ in 2022, the 28-year old’s grand entry to the limelight was soundtracked with the release of his mind-blowing, chart-topping singles known as as ‘Lonely at the Top’.
According to report, the OAU graduate has reached the summit of the chart four times this year including his collaboration on Davido’s ‘No Competition.’
The latest list released by Google has been described by his fans as another colourful feather added to his cap.
