The expanded alliance brings Google’s Gemini models into Salesforce’s Agentforce 360 platform, setting a new benchmark for intelligent business automation.

Salesforce and Google have entered a new phase in their strategic partnership, unveiling advanced integrations that combine the power of Google’s Gemini AI models with Salesforce’s Agentforce 360 platform. The collaboration aims to transform how enterprises deploy artificial intelligence across sales, service, and IT operations.

Both companies share a clear goal: to empower organisations with AI-driven tools that improve productivity, streamline operations, and create smarter, connected experiences for employees and customers.

Revolutionising Productivity Through Deep Integration

The enhanced collaboration aligns Agentforce 360 directly with Google Workspace, allowing sales and IT teams to work more efficiently within the tools they already use. Salesforce’s Gemini AI will now extend beyond Gmail to include Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive, creating a seamless, cross-platform experience that boosts communication and decision-making.

“This deeper integration between Gemini and Salesforce can significantly transform team productivity,” said George Kwon, Vice President of Product Management for Google Workspace. “It builds a unified, AI-driven ecosystem where sales, service, and IT teams can make smarter decisions using the tools they rely on every day.”

Gemini-Powered AI Enhances Agent Intelligence

The integration of Gemini models strengthens Salesforce’s Atlas Reasoning Engine, the core of Agentforce. The upgrade allows the platform to handle complex, multi-step enterprise scenarios with greater accuracy. Gemini’s multimodal intelligence also enhances hybrid reasoning capabilities, enabling Salesforce’s AI agents to process text, data, and visual cues simultaneously.

Salesforce and Google are developing large action models (LAMs), next-generation AI systems that automate both natural language processing and business operations. Salesforce reports that fine-tuned Gemini models now outperform major large language models (LLMs) on key CRM benchmarks, enabling more consistent and data-driven outcomes for enterprises.

“In enterprise environments, AI agents must deliver both intelligence and reliability, particularly for mission-critical tasks,” said Silvio Savarese, Chief Scientist at Salesforce. “Our partnership with Google sets a new frontier for the Agentic Enterprise and pushes the boundaries of what intelligent agents can achieve at the model level.”

Driving Open Standards and Interoperability

The partnership also reinforces both companies’ commitment to open collaboration. Salesforce and Google are advancing support for frameworks such as the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent2Agent (A2A), which enable secure multi-agent interoperability across platforms.

Through these standards, Agentforce 360 can now connect AI agents, data sources, and business tools more efficiently, helping organisations coordinate complex workflows and automate decision-making across departments.

Building an AI-Driven Workforce

The new integrations allow users to access Salesforce Customer 360 applications; such as Agentforce Sales and Service directly within Google Workspace. For instance, an email lead in Gmail can automatically trigger an Agentforce Sales conversation, qualify the prospect, and schedule a meeting in Google Calendar without switching platforms.

Sales teams can also access real-time CRM insights directly from Salesforce within Workspace apps, improving collaboration and speeding up decision-making.

For IT operations, the Agentforce IT Service solution includes built-in Google integrations that automate access management, enhance device security through ChromeOS, and analyse support trends using Looker analytics.

Slack and Gemini Enterprise Power Real-Time Intelligence

The partnership extends to Slack, where Gemini Enterprise now integrates through Slack’s Real-Time Search API. This allows AI to access live organisational conversations, documents, and files to deliver actionable insights instantly.

A new Gemini Enterprise agent within Slack also enables users to request instant summaries, generate insights, and perform tasks directly within the chat environment, bridging communication, collaboration, and AI-powered execution.

A Partnership Defining the Future of Enterprise AI

With this expansion, Salesforce and Google are positioning themselves at the forefront of the Agentic AI era, where intelligent systems reason, act, and collaborate across multiple platforms.

By combining Gemini’s reasoning power with Salesforce’s customer intelligence ecosystem, the partnership gives enterprises a new level of operational agility and insight. The result is not just smarter software but a smarter way of working, where AI becomes an active partner in every business process.
