Verve, Africa’s top domestic payment cards and tokens brand, has teamed up with global sportswear giant, Adidas, to take the sixth edition of VerveLife to new heights.
VerveLife, a renowned fitness festival series in Africa, aims to revolutionize fitness and wellness in Nigeria while promoting a healthy lifestyle among Verve’s cardholders and fitness enthusiasts.
With over 10,000 participants attending the festival each year in West and East Africa, VerveLife has become one of Africa’s biggest fitness platforms. The event features high-intensity workout sessions, dance routines led by expert instructors, fitness challenges, and masterclasses on nutrition and mental wellness.
This year, the event will expand to seven cities across West and East Africa.
Cherry Eromosele, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Interswitch Group, shared the brand’s commitment to promoting fitness and wellness, saying that they are greatly delighted to welcome adidas on board as one of their partners for VerveLife 6.0.
She went on to say that year after year, they consistently deliver exceptional experiences that surpass the expectations of fitness enthusiasts in this region. Their unique approach blends fitness, enjoyment, and nutritious food in a way that leaves participants craving for more.
“In 2023, we are raising the bar even higher, and working with a globally renowned and credible partner like Adidas gives even more fillip to our resolve, as we jointly advocate for more active and healthier lifestyles for African consumers,” Eromosele said.
The partnership between Verve and Adidas will offer exclusive benefits to the VerveLife community, including complimentary adidas merchandise, product discounts, and access to special events.
Furthermore, reflecting on the collaboration with Verve, Brett Burgess, Africa’s Commercial Director at Adidas, expressed excitement at their partnership with VerveLife as their brand continues to expand in Nigeria.
Brett said, “We believe that this is an exciting partnership for us to engage with the Fitness Consumers in Nigeria. Through our Nigerian Partners, BrandCo, we look to give the VerveLife community a world-class brand experience at the final event to edge the 3-stripes in their hearts. This event will help us entrench our belief that, through sport we have the power to change lives.”
After successfully debuting in Nairobi last year, VerveLife will make its first appearance in Uganda with an event scheduled in Kampala this October. The series has grown significantly over the years, expanding from a single event in Lagos to multiple events across Nigeria and now in three countries.
