Turkish Airlines, the airline flying to more countries than any other, is expanding its Nigerian network by increasing frequencies on its Istanbul–Lagos route to meet the growing demand for travel between Lagos and Türkiye as well as onward destinations across its global networks.
Lagos frequencies will increase from 7 to 10 weekly flights from 11 December 2026, providing travelers with greater flexibility and more convenient access via Istanbul to the airline’s global network of more than 350 destinations across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and America supported by its growing fleet of over 560 aircraft. This follows the increase of Istanbul–Abuja services to seven weekly flights from June 2026, further strengthening Turkish Airlines’ connectivity between Nigeria and Türkiye.
The additional services support both business and leisure travel while offering flag carrier’s guests greater access to Turkish Airlines’ extensive global network. For Business Class passengers connecting through Istanbul, the journey is further complemented by access to the award-winning Turkish Airlines Business Lounge at Istanbul Airport.
Tickets for the additional frequencies are available through turkishairlines.com, the Turkish Airlines mobile application, sales offices and authorised travel agencies.
Established in 1933 with a fleet of five aircraft, Star Alliance member Turkish Airlines has a fleet of 567 (passenger and cargo) aircraft flying to 358 worldwide destinations as 305 international and 53 domestics in 133 countries.
