Tiwa Savage postpones historic Wembley concert due to illness

Afro songwriter and singer, Tiwa Savage, popularly known as Tiwa, has postponed all performances, including her much-anticipated Wembley Arena concert in London due to illness.

She made this known via her social media handles, while explaining that she has been battling a virus for the past few weeks and was instructed to be on strict vocal rest for the next few months.

The post read: “To my dear savage soldiers, I’ve been fighting off a virus for the past few weeks and was today firmly instructed to be on strict vocal rest for a few months.

“I will unfortunately have to postpone all performances including my first ever headline arena show in London.”

“I’m heartbroken and devastated but I have to do this to save what’s left of my voice.”

“I’m so sorry, love you all and promise to come back performing once I’m fully healed,” she added

Savage has had an impressive run in 2023 with several hit songs and collaborations. Most notably, she performed at the coronation ceremony of the British monarch, King Charles which was held in May 2023.
