Tade Adekunle emerges new EXMAN President, Abiodun Oshinibosi becomes VP
The Project Consultant, Keskese Limited, Tade Adekunle, has emerged the new President of Experiential Marketers Association of Nigeria (EXMAN).
He emerged winner as the new President of the association during the general election at the 6th Annual General Meeting of EXMAN, held at Liligate Hotel, Admiralty Way, Lagos.
Also elected as the Vice President of the association is the Project Marshal, Abelinis Limited, Abiodun Oshinibosi.
Other executive members are Olurotimi Rhodes elected as the General Secretary, Kola Oyegbade as the Financial Secretary and Titi Seun Oremade as the Publicity Secretary.
Mr. Adekunle took over from the immediate past president of EXMAN and the Managing Director, Ideas House, Kehinde Salami.
In his inaugural speech as the new president of the association, Mr. Adekunle stressed that his leadership would focus more on capacity building which involves training of its members on new trends in the industry both locally and internally.
He added that his vision would be to reposition the association in order to make it relevant and earn the respect it deserves in the IMC sector and the society at large.
In his words: “We will concentrate on capacity building, having a clear vision to empower our members, earning the respect we deserve as an association as well as bring quality members to join the association.”
He pointed out that EXMAN would collaborate with other sectors in the IMC mix to find a lasting solution to the problem of delay in payment where multinationals pay 120 days instead of the 45 days as approved by the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON).
Asked to give his patting shot, Mr. Adekunle said: “The patting shot is that for our members, we will compete on every ground and also for us to understand that the sky is big out there for everybody to fly but we must be professional in our attitude and that is what will give us the edge and the respect from our clients and the larger society as a whole.”
