PHD elevates Cynthia Zhang to Chief Client Officer

Cynthia Zhang has been promoted to chief client officer by PHD China, a newly created role to evolve clients’ experience. In her new role, Zhang will look after PHD China’s client strategy, exploring opportunities in both current business and new business.

Zhang who is a media guru with over 20 years of industry experience was with Omnicom Media Group Shanghai in 2007, as planning director of McDonald’s team. Zhang’s experience covers automotive, IT, FMCG, pharmaceutical and Internet industries, and has served leading brands like Nokia, SONY, McDonald’s, Intel, HP, Cisco, SAIC Volkswagen, Porsche and Roewe etc.

During her stint as Managing Director of PHD Shanghai, Zhang has led her team and created integrated solutions of omni channel data and digital analysis. From 2021 to 2022, her team has provided an unparalleled experience to PHD’s partners, which helped PHD achieve 100% client retention rate for two consecutive years, and their “rapid response” and “quality services” has received high appraisal.

Also under her leadership, PHD China has a 300% annual new business growth and expanded its client portfolio across a wide range of industries and won major accounts such as Chanel, Roewe, Vitasoy, ekaterra, according to the company in a statement.
