Ogilvy appoints David Fox as CEO Middle East and North Africa

Advertising and Public relations agency, Ogilvy has announced the appointment of David Fox to the role of CEO for the Middle East and North Africa region, effective from March 1, 2021; the new position encompasses responsibility for nine countries and 10 offices across the region.

Prior to his new appointment, David Fox formerly served as CEO of Ogilvy Australia for over six years having previously spent ten years in global client roles with Ogilvy in London.

Speaking on Fox’s appointment, Global CEO, Ogilvy, Andy Main said: “As we work to ensure Ogilvy is the best partner for growth on the planet, it is essential that we have a bench of leaders who understand how to bring the best of Ogilvy to the table to drive value for clients. Foxy has proven to be one of those strong, capable leaders and I’m thrilled to have him taking on a new role as CEO in MENA.”

He also contributed immensely to the growth of Ogilvy Australia; his leadership attracted exceptional talent from across the globe; and in 2020 won more awards than ever before including APAC Effie’s Agency of the Year for the first time and was named best Ogilvy office to work in globally.

Founded in 1850 by Edmund Mather as a London-based Public relations, marketing, and advertising agency. In 1964, the firm became known as Ogilvy & Mather after merging with a New York City agency that was founded in 1948 by David Ogilvy.
