OASIS: “The Enemy Within” Series 3 set to hit Nigerian TV screens

Foremost television production firm, The Incubator has disclosed it is working in collaboration with Apreel Ventures to commence airing of the third series of the popular television drama titled OASIS: “The Enemy Within”.

The organisation said deploying the channel of the drama series demonstrates its commitment to further re-igniting the interest of television viewers across Nigeria starting from second quarter of this year. The avantgarde motion picture work is a 52 episode disruptive television series set to hit television screens across the country via DSTV, NTA Network and other syndications on TV stations.

The drama series which currently is in production in Lagos is being co-produced by multiple award-winning Ariyike Oladipo, directed by Pat Oghre Imobhio and Marketed by Shuttabox.

Starring in the series are award-winning and notable Nollywood actors, including Zack Orji, Segun Arinze, Tony Umez, Bimbo Akintola and Lilian Amah among others.

Briefing members of the press in Lagos on preparations towards the breaking of the drama series, Idowu Illuyomade, Chairman, The Incubator, said the firm was putting everything into the drama piece with a view to entertaining and keeping Nigerians glued to their television sets.

Speaking on the basic features of the drama art, the production specialist observed that there abounds several drama works having lots of good content but not educative. He added that using the template of OASIS, the organisation was set to bring forth a full content that would help improve morals, build character and moral quality of the society.

“We want to be topnotch and at the same time teach positive morals. We want to positively influence the airwaves by affecting what people see in a world where the devil holds sway” he said, adding that “lives will be transformed and everybody will have testimony”.

He maintained that using the drama series, the organisation hopes to create a marriage between the very talented actors in Nigeria with their young and upcoming counterparts who are very committed, having strong faith in God and great craft in the drama art.

“With Yinka Ogun as story consultant and Francis Onwochei as Project Consultant, we have put everything into OASIS to entertain and keep Nigerians glued to their television sets. In this sequel titled OASIS: The Enemy Within, the Osagies must put aside their individual challenges to face the worse kind of opposition from a onetime best ally,” he said.

The drama series brings to the fore several intriguing story of the Osagie’s family and the enemy within. In the series, James Chibunor plays the fatherly role as Mr. Osagie with Lilian Amah featuring as Mrs. Osagie displaying the character of a mother, a wife and a deaconess.

The 52 weeks long, series three drama episode is expected to breakout in April on DSTV and NTA network with several other syndications across major television stations across the country.

According to the producers, TV audience in Nigeria is out to witness quality acting, good pictures, quality direction and clear audio quality.
