NIMN shuts down secretariat over COVID-19 pandemic
The National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) has announced indefinite shutdown of its secretariat over the continued spread of the dreaded COVID-19 global pandemic which has recorded increased number of cases in Nigeria.
The Institute said effective from Wednesday March 25th, 2020, its secretariat would remain closed until further notice, pointing out that the action is in response to the increasing cases of COVID-19 infections in Nigeria and the need to take precautionary measures to safeguard the health of staff of the secretariat.
In a statement signed by the Registrar of the Institute, Sidney Ogodo and made available to MARKETING EDGE, the institute advised its members to reach out during the period of the shutdown through its official number: 08160321503, and /or send an email to [email protected]. or better still reach out to the Registrar on 08037193394 or email , [email protected].
The statement further enjoined the institute members to safeguard their health through adhering to the precautionary measures the health experts have put in place to manage the scourge of the Coronavirus.
It would be recalled that the institute had earlier postponed indefinitely its year 2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Annual Marketing Conference which was scheduled to hold between April 16th and 17th in Benin City, Edo State capital following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
