Multichoice invests N5.5bn, gets 1.53bn votes in BBN AllStars season 8

Multichoice, the leading payTV company, has announced that the investment pushed in for this year’s Big Brother Naija (AllStars) season 8 is over N5.5 billion and got a total vote of about 1.53 billion.

This was made known during the winner’s prize presentation at the BBN House in Ilupeju, Lagos. The winner of  BBN 8 Ilebaye Precious Odiniya aka Baye was presented with the sum of N120M and SUV GMT 570 from Innoson Motors.

Speaking at the prize presentation, Busola Tejumola, Executive Head, Content & West Africa Channel, Multichoice, noted that this year’s show employed over 2000 workers working behind the scenes and had more investment because of the big personalities (Housemates) that were featured on the show.

She added that this year’s Biggieverse was opened as Big Brother invited into it their favorite All-Stars – 20 game players, 4 house guests, 9 Jury members, 12 Wager Task Judges and THE PARROT who, all together, delivered a riveting show that kept viewers all entertained for 71 days.

Her words: “This year, we have backed this commitment up with a total investment of NGN5.5billion – covering the costs of production, construction, and fittings, technical, licensing, satellite, and marketing. In the production of this season of Big Brother Naija and, of course, there is the direct impact of over 2000 individuals employed to bring this project to life. Speaking on what makes the season unique, Tejumola said The Big Brother AllStars has been a Season of love, rekindled and new friendships, settling scores, comedic moments, fantastic showcases of talent and a battle for dominance.

“Congratulations, THE GenZ Baddie – Ilebaye Odinya – for emerging the winner of the Big Brother Naija All-Stars season and thank you for your creative gameplay that has delivered this win to you. To the other Stars, thank you for an amazing season. This season we took the creativity up a notch with the mix of imaginative tasks, mind-bending activities and nostalgic elements to deliver a compelling show that raked in a whopping 1.3 billion votes across all voting channels,” Tejumola said.

The super excited winner Ilebaye, while speaking on how shocked she was for winning the show, said: “It has not really sunk in, I was super excited and I didn’t believe it. Sleep hasn’t come since I won.”
