MIPAN re-elects Adelusi, excos

Media Independent Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MIPAN), the umbrella body for media planning and buying agencies in Nigeria, has re-elected Femi Adelusi as its president for the second term at the 2022 Annual General Meeting (AGM)/election.

The renewal for a second term of executive board members was endorsed after an election held recently during the AGM in Lagos, where executive members were returned to lead the Association for the next two years.

Adelusi, CEO/MD of BrandEye Media, a leading media planning and buying agency, retained his position as the president, while other members with whom he will be steering the ship of leadership as returning executives include Dozie Okafor, Vice President; Eki Adzufeh, Executive Secretary; Yetunde Adegbite, Assistant Executive Secretary; Henry Ononiwu, Publicity Secretary; Akam Ekpo Enoch, Assistant Publicity Secretary, and Samson Oyebamire as Financial Secretary.

Speaking with MARKETING EDGE in an exclusive interview and expressing their gratitude to MIPAN members, the Assistant Executive Secretary, Yetunde Adegbite said: “It feels inspiring and humbling too. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve. It means that the association is willing to put its vote of confidence behind us again. They see the vision backed up with action and a team of committed individuals who are ready to lift the game and leave an indelible mark of good work.”

In the same vein, Akam Ekpo Enoch, Assistant Publicity Secretary, while speaking on behalf of the entire executive, said: “It’s an honor and we are all grateful for the opportunity to serve again.”

The Media Independent Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MIPAN) was founded in May 1999, at the Anthony area of Lagos State, Nigeria. It is an association of registered media independent agencies operating in Nigeria. With the rapid fragmentation and proliferation of the media channels, coupled with increased complexity of the media planning & buying informed by consumer sophistication, MIPAN was created to develop and improve the advertising media profession in Nigeria. The association aims to maintain the highest standards of professional conduct, etiquette and discipline in the industry with a view to attaining a standard comparable to any leading professional body in the world.
