MARKETING EDGE visits orphanage, donates food items

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in giving back to the society, MARKETING EDGE, Nigeria’s foremost brand-centric, advertising and marketing magazine, in partnership with major brands such as The La Casera Company, Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, Seven Up Bottling Company and FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria Plc, have donated food items to Saint Monica’s Orphanage Home in Lagos State.

While presenting the items, Mojisola Daniels-Matesun, General Manager, Strategy & Business Development of the company, said the gesture is in line with MARKETING EDGE’s annual tradition of providing support to the less privileged in the society.

“We are glad to be here to bring these items to you as it is our tradition annually. It is our CSR initiative and we do this in partnership with brands and companies that believe in our value proposition..

“On behalf of the brands that donated the items, the MARKETING EDGE Group and our Publisher/CEO, John Ajayi, we present these items to St Monica Orphanage,” she said.

While affirming that the visit is in partnership with various iconic brands that are committed to ameliorating the sufferings of the downtrodden people in the society, she assured the recipients that MARKETING EDGE, as a socially responsible company, will continue to give the required support to the home.

Expressing her gratitude to MARKETING EDGE, Sister Therase Marie, represented by Sunday Agatha, commended the leading publication for its thoughtfulness, and appreciated the partnering brands for the support.

“We thank you and the various brands for bringing these things. We prayed that God Almighty will grant you all your heart desires and take you to greater levels,” she said.

According to her, “the prayers of the children on behalf of the company will always be answered before God”.

Among the items donated were rice, cereals, noodles and soft drinks among others.

Companies that partnered with MARKETING EDGE through product donation include the La Casera Company, Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, Seven Up Bottling Company and FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria Plc.
