MARKETING EDGE nominates two young Nigerian creatives for LIA mentorship

In furtherance of its recognition and partnership with global award rating agency, London International Award (LIA), MARKETING EDGE, Nigeria’s leading marketing & advertising publication has nominated two young creatives for this year’s creative LIAisons.

The two young creatives are: Macdonald Iheme and Mmesoma O. Obi

According to LIA, this year’s Creative LIAisions will match young creatives who will be under the tutelage and mentorship of three coaches. The mentees will spend a minimum of 1 hour with each coach who will mentor to help development, discuss how to work and navigate in these virtual times and establish future directions.

Recall that in March, MARKETING EDGE was awarded the exclusive right to nominate two young Africa-based creatives, through a competitive selection process for the 2021 creative LIAisions. The event, usually held in Las Vegas, United States will be held virtually between April and August this year, across the globe, due to the prevalence of Covid-19.

According to LIA, since the inception of Creative LIAisons in 2012, over 700 young creatives have had the opportunity to participate in this programme. The creative LIAisions is designed to develop, educate, inspire and grow young creative talent across the world.

In addition to being one-to-one with some of the world’s most respected industry leaders, mentees also have the unique privilege to virtually observe LIA statue discussions in real-time this October, virtually attend speaker sessions and have access to Creative Hacks webinars by Bernardo Romero.

Speaking on the upcoming event and the choice of MARKETING EDGE for the nomination exercise, Senior Vice President,:Public relations & Marketing ,  LIA, Patricia Ceensoprano had said: “Our goal is to set a new global benchmark in creative training. This year, the highly successful and sought-after Creative LIAisonsprogramme has morphed into the first-ever, global virtual one-to-one coaching and networking sessions for young creatives.”

She added: “We are offering MARKETING EDGE the opportunity to choose two young creatives to participate in this program. The only qualification for this program is that the young mentees must be currently working in the industry or a related business.”

In the last few weeks, MARKETING EDGE assembled some accomplished practitioners in the creative industry to conduct a selection process from a long list of young and outstanding creatives in Nigeria for the 2021 LIAisons . The rigorous process was recently completed.

The process was made possible through partnership with 02Academy, a leading capacity building organisation in the industry.

Speaking on the nomination process, MD/CEO, MARKETING EDGE publications, John Ajayi, noted that the two young creatives were nominated after a very rigorous and competitive process superintended by eggheads in the creative industry.

“As a decent and highly respected organization in the industry, we have conducted a thorough process that produced two outstanding creatives, whose names have been forwarded to LIA. Our faculty has done a good job in coming up with these two outstanding individuals”
