LCCI set to hold webinar on business opportunities

The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), in collaboration with the Business Education Services & Training unit, is set to hold a power sector group webinar on Thursday 26th August, 2021 on Zoom platform by 10am (WAT).

The event, with the theme, “INNOVATION AND BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES IN CHALLENGING WORLD”, is to facilitate insightful and impactful discourse on the topic.

The lined up speakers and distinguished subject experts expected at the event include Dr. Dikko Umaru Radda, Director General SMEDAN as the (keynote speaker); Nike Adeyemi, CEO FATE foundation (speaker); Foluso Gbadamosi, CEO Junior achievement Nigeria (speaker) and Otunba Akinbo Akin-Olugbade, MD KAWAI Technology Limited (speaker), while Chief host is Toki Mabogunje, President LCCI.

Dr. Radda is a distinguished Abusite, an astute politician, entrepreneur, teacher, and banker with wide administrative experience. He is the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN).

Adenike Adeyemi is an innovative thought leader with 19 years experience in strategic planning and institutional transformation in the non-profit, private and public sector space.

As the Head of Nigeria’s foremost enterprise development organisation, she leads the fulfilment of FATE Foundation’s mission to enable aspiring and emerging Nigerian entrepreneurs start, grow and scale their businesses and has led the development of 12 research reports on the Nigerian entrepreneurship ecosystem and also 7books for Nigerian entrepreneurs.

Through digital transformation and key partnerships, Mrs. Adenike has led the team to launch signature incubator and accelerator programs and reach 24 states and 180,000 entrepreneurs.

Foluso Gbadamosi is a business leader who leverages technology to provide innovative solutions to business problems and challenges. Mrs. Gbadamosi’s career spans over 15 years, working across various competitive industries including Telecommunications, IT, Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Financial Services and the Oil and Gas sector.

Mrs. Gbadamosi was recently appointed Executive Director at Junior Achievement Nigeria, (JA Nigeria) a part of Junior Achievement Worldwide and the world’s largest nonprofit economic education organization operating in 120 countries. She joins JA Nigeria, bringing on board productive experiences in technology.

Akinbo Akin-Olugbade is the co-founder of Kawai Technologies, a multidisciplinary logistics, engineering, and procurement company that works across Nigeria. Accomplished across several sectors his career blossomed following a transition from the United Kingdom. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Warwick University, UK, he is a member of the Nigeria society of Engineers.

Mrs. Mabogunje has over 37 years of relevant professional experience and 20 years running her own company. She has worked with a wide range of international and national organizations including the World Bank Group, CIPE, ILO, IFC, DfID, USAID, PIND, GIZ, among others.

She is the current President Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Her specialties include: Business development services, organizational development, consulting, legal advice, training, capacity building, consulting for small and medium enterprises.
