LCCI to host 8th ICTEL Expo

The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), the premier Chamber of Commerce and a leading voice in the Organised Private Sector (OPS) in Nigeria, is set to host the 8th edition of the Information, Communication, Technology, and Telecommunications (ICTEL) Expo.
The event will be hybrid and will have the theme, “Ensuring efficient digital infrastructure in Nigeria”. The physical event will take place at the Muson Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria on Wednesday 31st August and Thursday 1st September, 2022.
Commenting on the event, Dr. Micheal Olawale-Cole, President, LCCI, said: “The Federal Government has demonstrated a considerable interest in the digital economy as manifested in the recent change of name of former ministry of communication to the federal ministry of communication and digital economy.
According to him, the Federal Government’s announcement on the targeting of $40billion private capital investments in digital infrastructure by 2025 and the facilitation of the formation of up to $1 billion in private equity is commendable and serves a focus of the current year ICTEL Expo.
“The 2022 ICTEL Expo is providing a great opportunity to influence visitors, foreign and local, on the digital infrastructure in Nigeria. This is prudent for businesses and professionals who will be impacted by an efficient and effective infrastructure.”
The expo will provide the required information, discussion and inspiration which SMEs need in their quest for improving knowledge, business growth and sustainability.
This year ICTEL expo is also expected to provide aspiring entrepreneurs, start up and thousands of unemployed, underemployed youths yet another unique opportunity for an enriching experience, capacity building, mentoring, connecting with investors and employers of labour and listening to life changing experiences from different stakeholders.
“This year ICTEL Expo will have an impact on policy initiatives and advocacy especially in the ICT and telecommunication,” he noted.
