Lagos NIPR stakeholders’ Confab to focus on nation building

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Lagos State Chapter, the premier branch, is set to hold its tenth Stakeholders’ Conference. According to the organizers, the conference will address ‘employment creation and nation building’.
The all important confab has been scheduled to hold at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos on Thursday, August 31, 2023.
The Special August Gathering is expected to have in attendance some distinguished guest speakers as it will also capture highlights of previous editions of the highly celebrated conference.
Commenting on the conference, the Chairman, Lagos NIPR, Mrs. Comfort Obot Nwankwo, explained that “the theme for this landmark edition, STAKEHOLDERS’ CONVERSATIONS ON EMPLOYMENT CREATION AND NATION BUILDING, will discuss possible solutions to the increasing rate of unemployment and related issues in the country.”
She noted that this year’s edition will set agenda for the government and key stakeholders.
“The increasing rate of unemployment and underemployment in the country has necessitated the need to discuss the way forward in the country. As Public Relations practitioners, there is the need to set agenda on the way forward on issues of national interest,” She stated.
Mr. Olabamiji Adeleye, Conference Coordinator, and CEO, of Addefort Limited, added that “the need for government and institutions to ensure that we reduce the proportion of unemployment, tackling child labour, accelerating decent work and economic growth by 2030 based on the United Nations’ SDGs cannot be overemphasized.”
According to him, “Participants at the conference will include; Public Relations Practitioners, Economic Experts, The Nigeria Labour Congress, National Directorate of Employment, The United Nations, Embassies, Representatives from Government, Corporate Organisations, Institutions, NGOs, HODs of relevant Agencies, and media among other stakeholders.”
The annual Lagos Public Relations Stakeholders’ Conference has evolved over the years to become a headline platform, a bridge-building talker-shop for stakeholders to interact, discuss and proffer solutions to the social, political, and economic challenges plaguing our nation. The Conference is the brainchild of Addefort Limited; a public relations and concept development firm.
