The chairman of Gboyin Local Government, Honorable Damilare Ajayi and other elected chairmen in the recently conducted council poll in Ekiti State have been presented their certificate of return.

Also receiving their certificates of return are the Vice chairmen and councilors-elect in the state.

While making the presentation in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday, the Chairman of Ekiti State Independent Electoral Commission (EKSIEC), Honorable Justice Cornelius Akintayo said the elected officers have satisfied the provisional requirements of the commission which secured them the victory at the poll.

Recall that candidates of the All Progress Congress reportedly cleared all the council seats in the election conducted across the state in December 2nd.

According to Akintayo, the victory of the APC candidates in the council polls is a reflection of the people’s will who trooped out to carry out their civic rights by voting through the ballot in appreciation of the efforts of Gov. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji-led administration.

In his reponse, Hon. Damilare Ajayi thanked governor Oyebanji for putting in place good leadership strides for the betterment of Ekiti people, adding that the governor has written his name in gold through the conduct of the local government election which is said to be 100 percent free, fair and credible.

The Gboyin council boss, however, used the occasion to congratulate his colleagues and counterparts from different council areas.

“It’s a great honor to receive this Certificate of Return from EKSIEC today. I am deeply grateful to the people of Gbonyin LCDA for their overwhelming support and trust in my leadership.

“This Certificate of Return belongs to all of us, and together we will take our council area to greater heights.

“I want to reiterate my commitment to serving the people of Gbonyin LCDA with integrity, transparency and dedication.”

He added: “I believe, with your support and cooperation, we can achieve great things in the task ahead.

“I want to thank the leaders, the entire team that worked tirelessly during the campaign and the good people of Aiyekire/Gbonyin for their unwavering support. Amongst the leaders present at the venue are; Bar. Paul Omotosho (APC State Chairman) Hon. Ayodele Fadumiye (Aiyekire LGA Chairman), Hon. Shina Ogunleye (Ifedara LCDA Chairman), Hon.
