Bunmi Oke, Iquo Ukoh, Funmi Omo shine at MARKETING EDGE Hall of Fame

As part of a comprehensive action plan aimed at increasing diverse representation at all levels in creating a stronger culture of gender balance into the just concluded MARKETING EDGE prestigious Hall of Fame, the trio of Bunmi Oke, Iquo Ukoh, Funmi Omo were inducted as trend setters in the Nigerian Integrated Communications industry during a glittering event recently held in Lagos.

The Nigerian brand leading and agenda setting magazine leveraged the Hall of Fame platform as a vehicle to devise an action plan for meaningful change and to address gender equality and celebrate women in the industry as the world marks this year’s International Women’s Day tomorrow in grand style.

In appreciation, advertising Amazon Bunmi Oke, Chief Executive Officer and Lead Consultant of Lady Bird Limited, who was honoured as Advertising Torch Bearer said: “I am deeply humbled and honoured to have been elected into this famed hall of Advertising Torch Bearers.”

She appreciated the organisers for creating an equitable platform devoid of gender discrimination and stereotype, while adding that a pat on one woman’s shoulder will definitely spur more women to do more.

“Thank you MARKETING EDGE for the recognition in the “professional Hall of Fame!!Each time a woman stands up for herself, she stands up for all women,” Mrs. Oke added.

Another amiable Amazon, Iquo Ukoh, former Marketing Director of Nestle Nigeria but now a celebrity food blogger, was also inducted as Marketing Pathfinder. The marketing veteran, who is a Fellow of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN), has made significant impact on the Nigerian marketing space where she is now a role model and a highly sought after resource person for marketing seminars, workshops and conferences.

Funmilayo Omo, the Managing Director, Enterprise Life Nigeria, a subsidiary of a financial services group, Enterprise Group, was also found worthy and deserving for the coveted Hall of Fame as she was bestowed with the Corporate Pacesetter category honour, for her roles in stimulating unprecedented growth in the financial and insurance sectors of the economy. Her contributions have been recognised beyond Nigeria as she was honoured as one of the top 100 women CEOs in Africa by Reset Global People. Funmi Omo is a passionate leader committed to raising the next generation of young leaders.
