All set for tomorrow’s ADVAN Award

…to reveal plans for 25th Anniversary

All is set for the Advertiser Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) 2017 Awards for Marketing Excellence (West Africa) slated for tomorrowNovember 11, at the Shell Hall, Muson Center, Lagos.

The event is important in many ways because it’s an opportunity for the industry to assess its performance within the year and also for the association to reward some of its members who have been outstanding.

Winners will be awarded in 11 categories, including Brand of the Year, Brand Manager of the Year, Campaign of the Year, Consumer Promotion of the Year, Brand Journalist of The Year, CSR plan of the Year etc.

This year’s award which will be the first major outing by the newly elected ADAN executive led by Mrs. Folake Ani Mumuney, Group Head of Corporate Communications at FirstBank Holding will also kick-start ADVAN’s Silver Jubilee anniversary, which the association has said will be a year-long celebration, and it will be sustained by monthly activations.

A lot is expected from this present executive, made up of high flyers in the marketing communications industry, and the first to be led by a woman and the award will offer the first real opportunity to assess the team

The anticipation for the award has already reached fever pitch as over 80 entries have been received from organizations and individuals spread across 13 categories, and it is twice the number of entries that were received last year.

ADVAN encompasses 70 of the biggest marketers in Nigeria representing over 200 brands with an annual marketing spend of well about N150billion. ADVAN is a member of the World Federation of Advertisers, a body of Marketing Association in over 55 countries of the world.
