NigerBev Limited has appointed Chibueze “Eze” Iwuoha as Portfolio Marketing Manager, to lead the company’s portfolio strategy and marketing function.
Where some marketing professionals only understand data and consumer, and others simply about culture, Eze has built his career at the intersection of these three. With strong experience in business analytics, consumer research, and brand management, he brings a rare blend of commercial discipline, cultural intelligence, and creativity to translating insights into strategies and experiences that resonate with real consumers.
He began his career at NielsenIQ, where he developed a strong foundation in consumer research, retail intelligence, and strategic analytics, advising senior clients on growth strategy and brand positioning. He later joined Guinness, where his analytical approach helped uncover shifts in consumer behavior and accessibility gaps in the market, leading to transformational product innovations at a time of economic pressure and category changes. The findings of that research led to the launch of new SKUs in the 44cl Can format: Guinness FES, Guinness Smooth, Smirnoff Ice Double Black, and Orijin RTD, and drove the 45cl Smirnoff Ice Double Black Bottle launch.
Eze assumed brand leadership responsibilities that allowed him to build meaningful connections with Nigerian consumers through culture, entertainment, and experiential engagement on Smirnoff X1 where he built the brand’s presence inside Lagos youth culture through music, nightlife, and rave activations, and Gordon’s where he also managed the brand’s end-to-end presence inside the Big Brother Naija house, from visual identity to audience engagement. The sponsorship generated over 7 million impressions across platforms. His time there was defined by a disciplined approach to consumer insight and a clear understanding of how young Nigerians move through culture.
At NigerBev, he now leads the company’s end-to-end portfolio strategy across a growing spirits portfolio anchored by its flagship BEST brand. His mandate includes strengthening brand equity, driving consumer engagement, and building the systems and capabilities required to support the company’s next phase of growth in Nigeria’s competitive Spirits market.
The appointment signals NigerBev’s intent to build a marketing function that is commercially disciplined and culturally grounded; two things Iwuoha has excelled at throughout his career.
