To continue enforcing compliance with signage regulations in Lagos State, the Lagos State Signage and Advertising Agency (LASAA) has removed several unregistered advertisement signages in Computer Village, Ikeja, Lagos.

The regulator noted that its team’s visit to the popular market was to ensure a more organized and visually safe environment for all. This was made known on LASAA’s LinkedIn page, which urged businesses to comply with the regulations.

The post read: “Our Enforcement Team was on the ground on Monday at Otigba Street in the bustling Computer Village, Ikeja, ensuring that businesses are staying compliant with signage regulations. Our efforts are aimed at creating a more organized and visually safe environment for all.

“We urge all business owners to ensure their signages are properly registered, as it’s not only a legal requirement but also a key step toward supporting the growth of your business and contributing to a safer Lagos. Let’s work together to build.”

It could be recalled that at the just-concluded Out-of-Home Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN) 39th AGM in Ibadan, Prince Fatiu Akiolu, Managing Director of LASAA, represented by Temitope Akande, Director of Strategy and Communication at LASAA, noted that:

“As the regulatory body entrusted with the oversight of outdoor advertising in Lagos State, LASAA plays a pivotal role in shaping the landscape of our industry. Our mandate is not just to regulate but to facilitate an environment where innovation thrives, businesses grow, and value is continuously created.”

He reiterated that LASAA is committed to working hand-in-hand with OAAN and all industry stakeholders to redefine the future of out-of-home media.
