WPP clinches top honors in 2023 New York Festivals Advertising Awards

WPP, a global leader in advertising and marketing services, has triumphed in the prestigious 2023 New York Festivals Advertising Awards by securing the titles of Holding Company of the Year, Agency Network of the Year, and Agency of the Year.

The awards ceremony, renowned for celebrating outstanding creativity and innovation in the advertising industry, recognized WPP’s exceptional achievements and the excellence demonstrated by its affiliates.

The New York Festivals Industry Awards, a beacon of creativity, honors companies that exhibit unparalleled creativity and innovation in their multi-award winning campaigns.

The 2023 Industry Award winners were selected based on the number of top-scoring entries, as determined by the esteemed New York Festivals 2023 Executive Jury.

Agency of the Year – VMLY&R Commerce US

VMLY&R Commerce US clinched the prestigious Agency of the Year Award, a testament to their groundbreaking campaigns that resonate with audiences and clients alike. Their captivating campaign “Oreocodes,” designed for the iconic cookie brand OREO, earned VMLY&R Commerce US the Grand Award, in addition to a remarkable collection of Gold, Silver, and Bronze trophies.

Global Agency Network of the Year – VMLY&R

VMLY&R’s exceptional achievements on a global scale propelled the agency to claim the title of 2023 Global Network of the Year. This accolade acknowledges the network’s outstanding performance across various mediums and underscores the high-quality creative work produced by its agencies worldwide.

Global Brand of the Year – OREO

OREO, the iconic cookie brand under Mondelez International, was crowned the esteemed Global Brand of the Year. The brand’s innovative and creative marketing campaigns across various mediums earned it this prestigious honor.


Holding Company of the Year – WPP

For the second consecutive year, WPP was bestowed with the Holding Company of the Year award. This recognition underscores WPP’s commitment to pushing creative boundaries and its dedication to producing exceptional work across its extensive network and agencies.

Rob Reilly, WPP’s Global Chief Creative Officer, expressed his pride, stating, “It’s an honor for WPP to be named New York Festivals Holding Company of the Year…continuously pushing the boundaries of what and where creativity and innovation can happen.”

The New York Festivals Advertising Awards competition, which attracts submissions from over 60 countries, was judged by a panel of more than 400 members of NYF’s Executive Jury and Grand Jury.

The awards ceremony celebrated not only WPP’s triumph but also highlighted the industry’s ongoing commitment to creativity and excellence.
