Winners in inaugural Campaign Global Agency of the Year Awards to emerge today

Juries drawn from across the U.S., the UK and Asia would have a tough job in their hands today as they battle to determine which among the award winning agencies would emerge in the Campaign’s inaugural edition of Global Agency of the Year Awards holding in the UK.

Winners from Campaign’s Agency of the Year Awards in the UK, the U.S. and Asian markets will lock horns in the final round of choosing the global winners.

Wisden & Kennedy, Adam & Eve/DDB, Huge, McCann, Ogilvy and Mindshare are among the shops recognised on the shortlist by a panel of Chief Marketing Officer judges.

The shortlisted agencies will compete in five major categories namely: Creative Agency of the Year, Digital Innovation Agency of the Year, Independent Agency of the Year, Media Agency of the Year and Creative Network of the Year.

This new worldwide celebration builds on the success of Campaign’s long-running Agency of the Year awards.

Judges representing the US include Global Chief Marketing Officer at Burger King, Fernando Machado’, Estee Lauder’s Global Creative Operations Executive Director,  Daniela Michelon and McDonald’s Senior Director, Global Brand, Mr. Steve Hill.

Juries from UK include Group Chief Marketing Officer at Centrica, Margaret Jobling, TSB Chief Marketing Officer, Peter Markey and Transport for London Customer Director, Chris MacLeod.

The US and UK juries will be joined by their Asian counterparts, including Regional Lead for eCommerce, Media and Analytics at Kellogg Asia-Pacific, Anupama Biswas and Unilever Philistines Media Director, Dennis Perez.

Shortlisted shops and their categories to be competed are: Creative Agency of the Year: Adam & Eve/DDB, UK, Ogilvy Thailand, Ogilvy Taiwan, TBWA Hong Kong, TBWA/Hakuhodo, Japan and Wisden & Kennedy, U.S.

Shops competing in Digital Innovative Agency of the Year category include Accenture Interactive, Japan, Mindshare Indonesia, Mindshare Vietnam, Reprise Hong Kong and US based Huge.

Appsynth Thailand, CJ Worx and Spore Bangkok, Thailand, US Mother, Sunny Side Up, Japan, Tomorrow, Greater China and Uncommon Creative Studio, the UK will lock horns in Independent Agency of the Year category.

Media Agency of the Year category will be competed for by Essence, US, UK Manning Gottlieb OMD, Hong Kong based MediaCom and Mindshare, Mindshare Indonesia and Zenith of Taiwan.

Creative Network of the Year category has three agencies, namely: McCann Worldgroup Europe, McCann Worldgroup U.S. and Ogilvy Asia-Pacific in stiff contest.
