Wema Bank taps Adeteye as head of Brand & Marketing Communications

Wema Bank has appointed Mabel Adeteye as the Head of Brand and Marketing Communications department. In her new role, she will oversee the marketing communications activities of the financial institution and ensure the actualization of its set objectives.

Mabel is a trained corporate communications and public relations expert with over 15 years of experience covering Marketing Communication, Brand Design and Management, Digital Media Marketing, Events Planning and Management, CSR, and Sustainability.

Prior to the current appointment, Mabel was the Head of Corporate Communications, PR & Digital at TVC Communications.

She has demonstrated broad knowledge, experience, and professional judgment in the field having managed numerous high-profile communications initiatives both with local and international brands, from corporate restructurings to product introductions, market rollout international crisis communications response, personal profiling, and branding, B2B & B2C Communications, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Sustainability campaigns, media relations and perception management.

Mabel is accredited in Public Relations with the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) UK, and Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), and accredited in Digital Marketing, Integrated Communications, and Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) UK. Certified in Strategy and Sustainability from IESE Business School – Barcelona.

She is an alumna of the Department of Business Administration of the prestigious Babcock University, Ahmadu Bello University, and the Lagos Business School. She is also a member of the world’s largest and most influential PR and Communications body; the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA), UK. A certified Advanced Branding expert who has managed numerous brands such as; British Airways, Ford Motors, MasterCard, Nokia, Skye Bank (Now Polaris Bank), Unilever, Etisalat (Now 9mobile), Coca-Cola, Intel, Guinness Nigeria Plc, Intel  amongst others.
