We are keen on repositioning the marketing profession-NIMN boss

As part of efforts to reposition the marketing profession in Nigeria, the president of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria, Mr. Idorenyen Enang has expressed unflinching determination to lead a revolutionary dispensation that will herald a new dawn for more collaboration, professionalism, and growth of the marketing profession in Nigeria.

Speaking at the recently held virtual town hall meeting of the NIMN, Mr. Idorenyen Enang stated that as part of efforts to reposition the institute, the much-awaited amended NIMN Acts will soon be introduced as modalities for amendment have commenced.

In his words: “This is one project that has been seriously considered for years. We talked about it over and over but we never really had a situation where we can say there is something to work on. Now I am proud to inform you that we have suggested amendments and this was discussed at the April 1st Council meeting the Council has graciously put in their inputs and now we are waiting for the ratification by an Extraordinary General Meeting which will be announced very soon”

“For the Amendment process to begin we need at least 25 signatories and once that is in place and we have the ratification, we can then begin the move towards making the National Assembly help us with the amendment therein.”

In efforts to update the university curriculum to reflect the current realities and expectations, and build and improve capacities for professionals, the NIMN helmsman said: “We are a learning institute; we are a learning organization. When you are not equipped, you will not be able to show forth yourself in your workplace. The caliber of facilitators we have been amazing. I want to implore every one of you as regards this, do not miss it. We hold learning interventions at least twice every month”.

Mr. Idorenyen Enang affirmed that as a national institute, he is committed to fostering inclusivity and unity among the various chapters, clusters, and groups.
