Udeagha takes helm as Seplat Energy’s GM, Public and Govt Affairs

Ogechukwu Udeagha, a seasoned expert in brand communications has been appointed as the General Manager of Public and Government Affairs at Seplat Energy.
The appointment which reflects the company’s commitment to excellence in corporate communications and stakeholders engagement, is a testament to Udeaga’s impeccable track record in public relations, government engagement and corporate strategy.
Mr. Udeagha recently announced his appointment via his verified LinkedIn account.
He wrote, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new role as General Manager, Public and Government Affairs at Seplat Energy Producing Nigeria Limited!”
Until his latest appointment, he was the ExxonMobil’s Regional Communications Manager for Africa, where he played a major role in shaping a balanced narrative to drive urgent investment in the energy sector.
He began his career at Reltel Wireless where he served as Head, Corporate Communications before he joined Dangote Industries Limited as Head, Brand Management.
Between December 2013 and January 2015, Udeagha served as the Head of Stakeholders Management, First Bank of Nigeria Plc where he worked with both banking and non-banking subsidiaries to develop and manage strategic marketing plans.
Before then, he was the head of Brand Management for First Bank from November 2010 to November 2013, where he was saddled with the responsibilities of initiating, executing and evaluating strategies for managing the corporate and product brands across Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
An alumnus of University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Udeagha is a holder of Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication and Media Studies and a Master of Science in Media and Communication from the School of Media and Communication, Pan-African University.
He is a professional in strategic media, communications, and brand management with an unbeatable record of leading market teams to deliver strong results for top brands in various sectors.
As General Manager of Public and Government Affairs at Seplat Energy Producing Nigeria Limited, Udeagha is expected to lead the company’s efforts in fostering positive relationships with government entities, ensuring seamless communication with the public, and promoting the company’s sustainability and growth objectives.
