UBA rewards 20 customers with N1.5million each in Wise Savers Promo

United Bank for Africa (UBA) has rewarded 20 customers of the bank with N1.5million. The presentation ceremony happened on the occasion of the bank’s promo grand finale tagged ‘Wise Savers Promo’. The nationwide promo had also seen 60 customers rewarded in the previous quarters. The initiative is to promote entrepreneurship and give funding to SMEs and equally teach people how to build successful businesses.

According to Dupe Olusola, Group Marketing Director, UBA, said the bank values its customers and would continue to encourage them to develop the culture of saving to have greater access to cash.

“Almost 2 million customers have participated in the promo so far. The essence of the promo is to ensure we save for the future of our children and families,” she said.

On his part, Anant Rao, Group Head Director, Customer Fulfillment Centre, said the aim of the promo was to help the customers inculcate the habit of savings in order to meet their financial goals.

“UBA had gain almost one million customers, with almost 170 billion naira profit collected on the Promo with more patronage of large customers,” he revealed.

Also speaking at the event, Ogechi Altraide, Group Head, Sales, said: “UBA Wise Savers Promo is indeed a milestone and it’s very important to us. The promo started in 2018 and every quarter, UBA rewards its customers. Today, 120 million naira will be rewarded to the customers. They made this a reality. Without our customers, we can do nothing you all made it it a reality to us.”

The Lagos lottery regulatory board Representative, Samuel Rolland assures the customers that the promo was registered and encouraged the customers who did not win to keep playing as they might one day be lucky.

One of the winners while expressing her gratitude said: “I was surprised when I got the call and I couldn’t believe it when I later received the alert, in fact I will remain grateful to UBA.”

To participate in the promo, a person must have an account with the bank and must have been saving at least three months spontaneously.

Recall that UBA had a marketplace event that held in Abuja with over 120 vendors, market women and SMEs given the opportunity to sell their goods and show case their brands.
